This privacy policy describes how Deeplink Tester ("the App", "we", "our") handles information when you use our Android application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The App stores the following data locally on your device only. This data is never transmitted to our servers.

• Deeplink history: URLs you test, along with timestamps, to provide a history and bookmarks feature.
• App preferences: Your settings such as dynamic color theme preference and URL parameter display preference.

You can delete all locally stored history at any time from the Settings screen.

1.2 Camera Access

The App requests camera permission solely for:

• Scanning QR codes and barcodes to extract URLs.
• Capturing text via OCR (optical character recognition) to detect URLs.

All camera processing happens entirely on your device using Google ML Kit's on-device models. No images, video, or camera data are transmitted to any server.

2. Third-Party Services

The App integrates the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, or any personal identifiers.
• We do not collect or store the deeplinks or URLs you test.
• We do not collect photos, videos, or camera data.
• We do not have user accounts or sign-up flows.
• We do not sell any data to third parties.

4. Data Sharing

We do not share your personal data with any third parties. The only data that leaves your device is:

• Anonymous analytics data sent to Firebase Analytics (usage patterns, not personal information).
• Crash reports sent to Firebase Crashlytics (technical device and app state, not personal information).
• Advertising data processed by Google AdMob to serve ads.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

• Local data: Deeplink history and settings are stored on your device until you clear them via Settings or uninstall the App.
• Analytics data: Retained by Firebase according to Google's data retention policies.
• Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is a developer utility tool and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Security

All data is stored locally on your device using Android's DataStore, which is sandboxed to the App. No data is transmitted to servers we operate.

8. Your Choices

• Camera permission: You can deny or revoke camera access at any time through Android Settings. The App will still function for manual deeplink testing.
• Ad personalization: You can opt out of personalized ads in your device's Google Settings under "Ads".
• Analytics: You can limit analytics collection through your device's Google Settings.
• Clear history: Use the "Clear All Recents" button in the App's Settings screen.
• Export data: Export your deeplink history as JSON or TXT from the History screen.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with an updated effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
